Family
law specialist joins Lincoln and Newark practice

Andrew &
Co LLP’s family law team has been strengthened by the appointment
of family law expert Helen Shaw. She joined the Lincoln and Newark-based
practice in April and brings 15 years of family law experience with
her along with a specialist accreditation in children’s law.

Helen
joins Andrew & Co LLP from Flint Bishop and before that she was
with another Nottingham practice, Berryman. She completed her LSF at
Nottingham Law School and has worked in Nottinghamshire throughout her
career.
Partner
and head of family law at Andrew & Co LLP Julie Bailey says; “We
are very excited that Helen has joined us. She will play a pivotal role
in developing our family law service in Nottinghamshire and her specialist
knowledge of handling disputes involving children will give an added
dimension to our overall service.”
Helen
was drawn to working at Andrew & Co LLP as she saw it as a progressive
and ambitious practice yet retaining an essentially human face. Helen
is also a qualified collaborative lawyer and will be promoting its use
as a practical and confidential way of avoiding expensive divorce court
cases. She is an active member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors
Family Law Association.
She
is married and has a son aged three.
